ONE TEAM ONE GOAL — 2024 REJOIN Medical Management Team Leadership Development Program
2024.11.16

After the new rain in the empty mountains, the weather turns autumnal in the evening.

From October 17 to 21, 2024, during the golden-orange season of the year, the REJOIN Medical management team officially embarked on this year's hiking journey—Siguniang Mountain: Changchuanbi Route. This was a test of individual willpower, a tempering of team cohesion, and a shared belief in accomplishing one goal together.

October 17 – Gathering Day

From dawn to dusk and into the night; from various regions to Chengdu and then to Xiaojin County, the managers traveled great distances to reach Siguniang Mountain, known as the "Eastern Alps," all to accomplish one common goal. At an altitude of 3,200 meters, nighttime brought headaches, dizziness, and restless sleep—altitude sickness disturbed everyone constantly. Even so, it did not affect the enthusiastic pre-trek briefing. With a deeper understanding of the journey ahead, all teammates were well-prepared and confident!

October 18 – Expedition Day (11km)

Coinciding with a mountaineering festival, the entrance of the Siguniang Mountain Outdoor Management Center was bustling with people. Among the crowd, a striking shade of green stood out—the REJOIN team was ready to go.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. From concrete roads to wooden boardwalks, through gravel paths, muddy trails, pine-needle-covered grounds, and marshlands—the physical challenge was self-evident. Yet it could not overshadow the scenery along the way: under the Yaomei Peak, beside Changping Valley, the rushing streams were crystal clear, golden-red spruces were scattered all around, and majestic mountains stretched endlessly. The magnificent views were breathtaking.

October 19 – Breakthrough Day (12km)

If the previous day was a physical test, today was a mental one. Higher altitudes, lower temperatures, and more exhausted bodies continuously tested everyone. Though the body felt like it was in “hell,” the eyes were immersed in even more beautiful and awe-inspiring scenery.

After reaching the Kazigou campsite, everyone gathered to share their thoughts about the hike. Mr. Xu Shengjun, CEO of REJOIN Group, mentioned: The development of REJOIN feels like this 36km Changchuanbi journey—long and arduous, twisted yet brilliant. It perfectly illustrates: greatness is forged through endurance.

Behind us, the 4,668-meter mountain pass represents the higher, more challenging goals we now face—like REJOIN’s third strategic transformation: internationalization. Only by embracing death can one be reborn like a phoenix. Very few people truly believe, but if we truly believe, we will definitely achieve it!

Glaciers and waterfalls, snow-capped peaks and sea of clouds, forests and meadows—the scenery along the route was refreshing and invigorating. I hope each teammate can continue to surpass themselves on REJOIN’s platform—not only achieving professional success but also enjoying good health, a happy family, romantic love, and steadfast faith. From a splendid life to a fulfilling one!

Mr. Li Ke, Vice President of REJOIN Group and General Manager of Hangzhou REJOIN Medical Co., Ltd., said: The power of belief is infinite. We must believe in the significance of this hike, believe that as long as we unite, we will complete the challenge, and believe that in the future, we can climb towards even higher goals.

Mr. Bai Xiaomin, Vice President of REJOIN Group and General Manager of Shanghai Mastin Medical Device Co., Ltd., shared his view: Our perception often changes with life experience. So do not set limits for yourself. With a clear goal and thorough preparation, you will definitely accomplish it.

October 20 – Challenge Day (13km)

In the freezing valley at 1 a.m., amid rain and snow, the much-anticipated yet nerve-wracking moment finally arrived. After breakfast and a dose of glucose, teammates were re-energized and began their final ascent at 3 a.m.! With an 800-meter vertical climb at the pass, steep Despair Slope, endless downhill paths, and the forest of despair—it was a dual test of body and will.

“To stand on the top and view all other mountains at a glance”—at the moment we looked out from the pass and saw the cloud-filled Bipeng Valley, we truly understood the meaning of this verse. It’s worth mentioning that among the hiking teams at the time, REJOIN had the highest average age. Even so, teammates shared supplies and gear, supported and encouraged each other, never giving up. They finally overcame the pass through sheer willpower—this closely aligned with the theme of the event: “ONE TEAM ONE GOAL.”

October 21 – Return Day

A summit only holds true meaning for those who climb it, not those who merely look up to it.

During the three-day, two-night Changchuanbi journey, everyone experienced light boardwalks, pleasant cedar forests, icy streams and rivers, vast grasslands, hidden marshes, colorful red stone beaches, snow-covered mountain passes, oppressive gravel slopes, and enclosed primeval forests. With lush greens and golden hues, snowy whites intertwined, sunny skies and stormy weather alternating. Though the journey was winding and rough, the emotional impact of being present in person far surpassed what any photo could capture.

High-altitude hiking was a brand new challenge for the REJOIN management team. It tested not only physical and mental strength but also served as comprehensive leadership training: tighter team coordination, more accurate risk assessment, faster decision-making, and stronger pressure resilience. Only with thorough preparation, proactive risk evaluation, perseverance in the face of hardship, and swift recovery can one endure the harsh environment and reach the goal together.
Looking at the entire journey, we believe the REJOIN management team will be able to integrate these experiences and lessons into their careers—better understanding their strengths and weaknesses, fully leveraging leadership capabilities, and leading REJOIN with courage toward the grand goal of becoming a world-class REJOIN!
